"Picture a world where everything rests at your fingertips, where every moment tickles your funny bone and every passerby calls you "friend." You've found yourself at K-Seven! Non-stop action from morning to night helps Kampers make the most of the greatest week on earth. Take a turn at soccer, archery, or the climbing wall. Pull on rollerblades, a kayak, or a canoe. Take a twist down a water slide, trapeze, or a trail. Practice your swing in our batting cages or enjoy the woods on a bike. Every day's events ring with the message that each life has a purpose. When night comes, for about one minute a great hush falls over the Kamp, and then a party, a K-Life, or a worship time breaks out! Kampers learn from counselors that it's fun to be a Christian. Each counselor knows that every moment the Kampers are watching, they are taking home a picture of what it means to follow hard after Christ. The K-Seven experience is complete when Kampers and counselors stay in large Tee Pees perched on platforms with built in fans. Some say it's some of the most comfortable sleeping around and a lot of fun, too!"
The 2009 summer begins . . . It has started with a bang! First, Kevin's graduation and party, Terri's birthday celebration (again), a visit from the Cotton Crew, pool visits with Mimi & the cousins, the On-going Magic playoff games late into the evening, Tyler's Super Y soccer training, Terri & Tyler & Alyssa off to Kanakuk Camp, Keith playing in a worship service with Laura Story, and Kevin surviving a terrible bronchial infection! So thankful that he is feeling better . . . because now it's off to Missouri for us. It's a new kind of trip for us ~ Terri/Ty are already out there in Lampe, Keith and I will fly out tomorrow, and a few days later Kevin will join us. We'll all go to camp closing ceremonies and then stay an extended time at Big Cedar Lodge on Table Rock Lake. We've got a nice cabin for our family & the Popovich family to share. We've got a little of everything going on ~ boating on Table Rock Lake, taking in some Branson shows, hiking, biking, and horseback riding. Oh, and yes, some relaxation planned too . . . time to take in the views and appreciate the quiet. "A little piece of quiet" as Kevin used to say . . .
We'll keep you updated along the way.
